Terms of Use

Last updated: September 17, 2026

By downloading or using VerseLoom, you agree to these terms. They are intentionally brief because VerseLoom is a simple, free, offline app.

1. License

VerseLoom is free software. The source code is available on GitHub under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, and distribute the source code in accordance with that license.

The compiled app is provided free of charge on the Apple App Store for personal, non-commercial use.

2. No account required

VerseLoom requires no account, registration, or personal information to use. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or paid features — every capability is available to every user at no cost.

3. Bundled Scripture content

The preset verse tracks bundled with VerseLoom (Psalm 23 and the "10 Verses to Know" collection) use the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, which is in the public domain in the United States and most other jurisdictions.

You are responsible for ensuring that any verse text you manually enter from other Bible translations complies with the copyright terms of that translation. Many modern translations (ESV, NIV, NASB, NLT, CSB) are under copyright. Short quotations for personal, non-commercial memorization are generally considered fair use, but you should consult the publisher's guidelines if in doubt.

4. User content

Verses and notes you enter into VerseLoom are stored only on your device. You retain full ownership of any content you create. VerseLoom does not transmit your content anywhere.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

VerseLoom is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Use the app at your own risk.

We do not warrant that:

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VerseLoom and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Because VerseLoom is open source, the above applies to the compiled App Store distribution. You are welcome to study and modify the source code under the MIT License.

8. Apple's terms

VerseLoom is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App Store is subject to Apple's Terms and Conditions. Apple is not a party to these Terms of Use and has no obligation to provide support for VerseLoom.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
